Alternative Investment Seminars & Conferences
Signal, not ceremony.
Alternative Connections organises thematic investment seminars and conferences where every presenting manager is selected on their strategy and expertise alone, not the value of their assets under management.
No frills investment insight and education for the serious investor.
The Alternative Connections Model
01
Every manager is selected on strategy and expertise alone. No commission arrangements. No sponsorship tiers. A compelling strategy deserves a platform on its own merits, including those who may not typically feature on the established conference circuit.
02
No cocktail parties. No gala dinners. No social programme. The no-frills format keeps participation costs accessible and the focus where it belongs: informing serious investors about compelling opportunities. We simply believe there is space for an alternative that lets the investment thinking speak for itself.
03
Each event is built around a single investment theme, with every manager selected for the direct relevance of their strategy to it whether equities, credit, macro, systematic or discretionary. All styles and approaches are considered. The objective is to give investors access to a curated group of subject matter experts across a defined investment universe.
04
Each manager delivers a substantive presentation covering their investment universe, the opportunities they are pursuing, and their current positioning. Sessions are designed to give managers the space to be heard properly, and allocators the depth of coverage they are increasingly seeking.

Who We Are
Rosalind Beck has spent nearly thirty years at the centre of the alternative investment industry. Her career spans senior roles at HSBC in derivative sales and hedge fund relationship management, followed by ABN AMRO and CQS, where she served on the Operating Committee of the latter and led institutional counterparty strategy. She then joined Ravenscourt Capital Partners as a founding Partner responsible for Investor Relations, building its global investor base from launch.
Since then, Rosalind has worked independently, advising hedge fund managers across many different strategies and Alternative Connections is the natural conclusion of that work. A platform designed to connect serious investors with specialist managers selected on the basis of their expertise and strategy alone.
Advisory Board
The Alternative Connections Advisory Board brings together respected professionals drawn from across the institutional investment landscape to provide independent guidance on investment themes and strategies of most interest and importance to professional investors. Board Members contribute their expertise by advising in a non-executive, consultative capacity, and are selected for their perspective as experienced leaders in the alternative investment industry.
